Houston Putnam Lowry received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Political Studies from Pitzer College (one of the Claremont Colleges) in 1976. He received his Juris Doctor cum laude from Gonzaga University School of Law and his Master in Business Administration from the University of Connecticut in 1980. He received an LLB and LLM in International Law from the University of Cambridge with an upper second class honors. He was a visiting scholar at the Yale Law School in 1981-1982. He received a certificate from the Hague Academy of international Law in 1981 and 1982. He received a certificate from the National Institute of Trial Advocacy in 1988.
He clerked for United States District Judge William M. Acker, Jr of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Alabama from 1982-1983.
Mr. Lowry practices in the areas of complex commercial litigation, arbitration, mediation, creditor bankruptcy matters (including related litigation), foreclosures, contract disputes, landlord-tenant matters, administrative law matters, unfair trade practices matters, uniform domain name dispute resolution procedures (UDRP), computer crime matters, tax matters, international and enforcement of foreign judgments (domestic and international).
Mr. Lowry has acted as a neutral in over 500 reported UDRP cases.
